Fausey Friday Recap Volume 2

On this weeks recap......

What I'm Currently Reading

Currently i have been trying to catch up on my Train Magazine Subscription from Bodybuilding.com. Every month they release a magazine and if you order supplements monthly from bodybuilding.com you also get this magazine subscription. While a lot of the articles are not that great in my opinion you still every now and then come across something interesting, plus its a free subscription so what more can you ask for. There is also a lot of good transformation stories that are always inspirational to read so thats another pro.

What I'm Currently Watching

This last weekend i watched the new Netflix original movie “What Happened To Monday?” and i really enjoyed it. I'm rating it an 8/10.

(NO SPOILERS HERE DON"T WORRY) The main story in the movie is based off a future world where the earth is becoming over populated so the government makes a new law stating that it is no longer legal to have siblings, you can only have one child per family. Really crazy to think of a life like that. Anyway tho in the beginning of the movie a guy and his wife have seven identical twin girls and he decided to name them each one day of the week and only on that day that child would be let outside, all the girls live the life as one girl outside their home. Thats pretty much the sum of it without giving away any spoilers. I really recommend checking this one out.

What I'm Currently Playing

This past week on my free time i have been doing all the side stuff in Witcher 3 Blood and Wine Expansion. I’m still going for 100% completion in that game. Its taken almost a year and over 160 hours of game play but we are getting close :D. Also this week i have been playing a lot of Pokemon Go as well and i finally caught my very first Electabuzz in the wild!

What I'm Excited For

This week i got accepted to be a regular Monthly blog writer for Avatar Nutrition Company! This is a website with an AI (Artificial Intelligence) system that helps coach people on how many calories and Macronutrients to eat. Layne Norton is also a founder of this company! I’m really excited for this opportunity and I'm sure i will be talking more about this soon!

Something New I Learned

Wile listening to Iron Radio Weekly's podcast this week they mentioned something that i did not know but it could someday be a useful piece of info. With a lot of different cooking oils out there now a days you want to make sure you get what you pay for so this tip will come in handy to make sure your getting the real stuff.

- You can check if Olive Oil is actually true olive oil by sticking it in the fridge, if it solidifies then it is a real olive oil.

Best Training Day This Week

This week my best training day was no doubt Tuesday’s Lower session. While the workout went just awesome nothing tops the fact that i finally decided to try front squatting again after taking 3 months off it completely to allow my knees to hopefully heal. While I'm still having some knee pain i found that making sure i maintain an active foot while performing the squat has taken a lot of knee pain away. Gonna add them back in for a while and see how it goes. I also think my knee pain might have come from the squat press so im going to throw that movement out for now and just stick with front squats

Here is my training log from Tuesday.

Notes- Energy/Strength 10/10. Really fantastic routine! Front squatted today with the olympic style grip and i liked it a lot better than the crossed arm position i used to use. My plan currently is to on my first lower session of the week just do a 5x5 and work on getting stronger each week and then the second day I'm thinking maybe 3x5 and then 3x3 pause reps.

Quote or Bible Verse I'm Currently Pondering

“Keep Your Friends Close But Your Enemy's Closer”

The first part of the quotation means that you always want to keep your friends close to you because they are people you can trust and rely on.

The second part of this means that your enemies are always going to be out there seeking to harm you so you want to keep an extremely close eye on them, in order to make sure that they are not going to hurt you.

- I don't know why i picked this one this week. Probably for the reason i have been watching a lot of Game of Thrones but it just felt appropriate.

What I'm Currently Listening To

I found a new song that i added to my training playlist this week and while the name is super weird the song is not. This song came on randomly this week and i noticed immediately it was an amp up song. Check it out! No idea how it got the name.

Life Tip For The Week

Live the life you live not the life of someone else.

Having role models is fine. It’s also fine to use ideas from your role models to put your own spin on them. What becomes a problem tho is when you try to copy their lives by the book. Be your own self.
